The team includes a number of heritage specialists who have extensive experience of working with clients in delivering appropriate solutions for heritage properties and for developments that impact on their settings. The team have recently worked on delivering listed building consents in London, Horsham, Chichester, Arun, Waverley, Brighton and Hove and Eastbourne.

PATRICK ARTHURS
Planning Director
Patrick has 30 years planning and development experience in both the private and public sector, working on some high profile projects.  Patrick set up AP&D in 2016, the ambition is to work with other like minded independent professionals to deliver positive outcomes for clients in often challenging circumstances.
JOHN FANNON
Planning Director
John Fannon is a chartered planning consultant with over 30 years experience in both the public and private sectors. Up to 2010 John held senior positions in planning authorities in London, including at the GLA, Newham and Hammersmith and Fulham. He has delivered complex town centre regeneration schemes, transport and infrastructure projects and major housing schemes. As Borough Planning Officer for Newham Council he has worked on major redevelopment projects to support the 2012 Olympic Games as well as significant housing schemes transforming London’s Royal Docks. He has worked on major retail led mixed-use schemes including the Westfield schemes in Stratford and White City. More recently John has avised LPA on a range of important strategic developments in the Soith East.
Since 2010 John has been working successfully as a planning consultant securing planning consents for a wide range of developments, from minor to major including listed buildings. John has exceptional skills representing clients’ interests negotiating and delivering development projects through the planning process, at all stages from pre application advice, planning applications through to winning appeals.
John also continues to support local planning authorities managing complex and large-scale development proposals. This public sector experience provides insight into the ever-evolving planning system, which has often proved invaluable when making planning applications.
EIMEAR MURPHY
Planning &Â Heritage Advisor
Eimear has 31 years experience working in both the private and pubic sectors. Eimear has built up a strong reputation with developers and Local Planning Authorities in the South-East and is a seasoned negotiator in finding a way through difficult heritage-related development projects.  As well as advising developers on heritage related matters, Eimear also works with a number of Local Planning Authorities preparing Appeal Statements, acting as an Expert Witness and Heritage / Conservation Area Character Statements as well as various Development Management roles. Eimear works under the Murphy Associates company name.
RICHARD MASTERS
Finance and Operations Manager
Richard comes from a financial services background and oversees the day to day running of the practice and helps project management the larger projects delivery.
